STUDY STAY

1) TYPES OF STAYS

The Erasmus offers the students two types of stays:

Study stays at international higher education institutions in programme or partner countries

  • duration 2–12 months
  • 5–30 days + virtual component
  • organised exclusively subject to applicable inter-institutional agreements between the sending and the receiving higher education institutions owning ECHE

Combined study mobility at international higher education institutions in programme or partner countries

This involves a shorter stay abroad of 5–30 days and a virtual part of any duration.

2) BEFORE THE MOBILITY

Consulting the Head of the Department – given the links in the production of school exercises and in order to keep film crews together, it is only possible to go for a stay following a discussion with the Head of the Department. The preferable option is to leave during the extended 3rd year of a bachelor’s programme. A stay can be undertaken virtually without limitations during the master’s stage of study.

Choice of school and filing an internal application – you can choose up to three schools from a list of institutions with which FAMU has a contract in place. The agreements with foreign schools are currently being renewed and a current list will be published on an ongoing basis from 1 November 2021.

STUDENTS CAN APPLY FOR STAY ABROAD (PRACTICAL AND STUDY) WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM UNTIL 31 JANUARY 2023.

APPLY BY COMPLETING THIS ONLINE FORM.

THIS DOCUMENT WILL ALSO NEED TO BE UPLOADED TO THE FORM, WHICH MUST BE SIGNED BY THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT AND THE STUDY DEPARTMENT!

In justified cases, the application can also be submitted until 07/09/2023, but in this case the student will only be placed on the waiting list.

Be aware that your applications are binding. If you decide to cancel an approved trip without giving serious grounds, this may affect the assessment of your future application, if any.

Nomination and application – if you pass the school round successfully, we will send nominations to the schools of your choice. Based on the nomination, you will be contacted by the international section of the target school and given specific instructions. The deadlines for the submission of applications differ school by school!

School’s decision – if the target school decides to accept the student, it is necessary to prepare the required documents, which include:

  • participant agreement (financial agreement on granting the scholarship)
  • learning agreement
  • travel insurance for the entire duration of the stay
  • completion of an online course in the language of the instruction

If a student is not admitted, they may consult the Vice-Dean for International Relations and then try to apply for another school, or seek a traineeship instead of a study stay.

3) COURSE OF THE STAY

Credits required – at least 18 credits per semester

Changes in the curriculum or extending the studies – in the event of any changes in the approved curriculum, contact the international departments of both FAMU and the partner university.

4) RETURN

Documents that you need to return:

  • Certificate of the duration of the stay (the dates of the stay must precisely match the dates specified in the participant agreement)
  • Transcript of Records – certificate of the academic results achieved, based on which your credits will be recognised
  • Completion of the final online language course

Final report – to be completed in an online form. You will receive a link via e-mail.

The above requirements are mandatory, and if you do not fulfil them you may be required to refund the full amount of the scholarship!
