Mentoring Programme

In the winter semester of the 2025/26 academic year, the Centre for Audiovisual Studies (CAS) welcomed filmmaker Rebecca Salvadori, who led a workshop inspired by her artistic practice. She participated in five sessions at CAS, including two masterclasses open to all faculty students.

Rebecca blends various approaches to live and personal audiovisual recording, especially in the context of visual arts, music, and performativity — all marked by optimism and resilience.

Her work is characterized by exploring different forms of collaboration and relationships with artists across disciplines. She creates multilayered portraits of moments, people, and environments that oscillate between personal and collective experiences.

Rebecca works across media — from digital video to 16mm film — and creates audiovisual essays that blur the line between documentary and experimental film. She often collaborates with friends and close figures from the visual art and music scenes, striving to maintain the personal and intimate character of the final work.
