Mentoring Programme

From 17 to 19 March 2026, a mentoring program with Norwegian documentary filmmaker Gunnar Hall Jensen took place in collaboration with the One World International Human Rights Film Festival.

“His work ranks among the boldest and most intimate voices in contemporary Nordic documentary. In his films, he does not shy away from radical honesty or an uncompromising gaze into his own inner world — personal crises, relationships, forms of masculinity, and fatherhood. He creates a unique cinematic space where vulnerability becomes strength, and authentic self-exploration opens a path for audiences to confront their own themes and questions.”

As part of the mentoring program, Gunnar Hall Jensen held individual consultations with students. During these sessions, participants focused on various aspects of documentary practice, with particular attention given to the different stages of their projects, including idea development, scriptwriting, financing strategies, production, editing, and post-production. Students also had the opportunity to attend a screening of Portrait of a Confused Father (2025, 79 min.) at Ponrepo Cinema on 17 March 2026, followed by a masterclass moderated by Filip Remunda.
