SCHEDULE OF THE FAMU BUILDING REFURBISHMENT

The FAMU building will undergo a series of long-awaited upgrades this summer. The interiors at FAMU will be decorated during the period from the last week of July to the second week of September. This will involve the main and secondary staircases, connecting corridors of the 1st and 2nd floors, classrooms 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the Department of Directing. The flooring will be replaced on the 1st floor in the section between the library and the screening section. The doors around the main staircase will be renovated from July to September this year, and the doors around the secondary staircase will undergo the same process during the same period next year. Furthermore, the ceiling-mounted lighting fixtures will be upgraded at the Departments of Production, Sound Design, Editing, Documentary Film, and Directing, in classrooms 3, 4, 5 and 6, and in the Vice-Deans’ office. Washbasin boards in toilets on the 1st to 4th floors will be renovated this summer. New power outlets will be installed in the relaxation/working zone on the second floor. The protected escape route (“CHÚC”) will be refurbished in the autumn, and the remodelling of the Centre for Audiovisual Studies premises is also planned.
