MASTERCLASS CHI JANG YIN

You can register for Chi Jang Yin's Masterclass until February 26th. It will take place on March 3rd at FAMU and is open to all faculty members.

American filmmaker, photographer, curator, and educator Chi Jang Yin will present her current work and the possibilities of using virtual reality in documentary filmmaking during the masterclass. Chi Jang will showcase her latest work with examples (the experimental documentary I WAS THERE, PART II), followed by a discussion focusing particularly on VR.

The masterclass will be conducted in English.

Chi Jang Yin (born 1973) is an award-winning American filmmaker, photographer, curator, and educator. Her work primarily focuses on experimental filmmaking, exploring themes of displacement, alienation, and narrative memory. Recently, she has been experimenting with integrating documentary filmmaking and virtual reality, as seen in her film Vanish (2024).
