FAMU PARENT FRIENDLY

Dear FAMU Parents,

We are delighted to introduce the FAMU PARENT FRIENDLY project, an initiative started by two student mothers, aimed at supporting those of you who are trying to balance parenthood with studying or working — which is often no easy task.

We care deeply about making the faculty more accommodating for parents with children and providing at least basic support and facilities. By support, we mean both material resources (such as setting up a children's corner with toys and supplies) and attention to well-being. This is a gradual process that we hope will continue to grow and evolve — and we would love for you to be part of it.

We warmly invite you to the first FAMU parents' meeting, which will take place on International Day of Families, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM at FAMU in classroom U3.

The goal of this meeting is to get to know each other and talk about your specific needs in the context of parenthood, study/work, and faculty support.
