Basic conditions

  • The participant must be a full-time student – it is possible to travel as part of a waiting for final exams, or extended year.
    • It is not possible to travel as part of interrupted study.
    • Exchange must end (and be administratively finalised) no later than the day before final exam (SZZK).
  • Each participant can use up to maximum of 12 months in each study cycle of higher education (bachelor, master, doctoral).
    • A student can complete one long stay or several shorter ones (but the minimum prescribed length of stay of 2 months must be observed).

  • Students applying for a traineeship can have credits recognized if their study plan at FAMU includes a subject corresponding to the content of the practical traineeship.
    • If the student's study plan does not include such a subject, it is possible to recognize the traineeship as the equivalent of another subject within the study plan – the decision on such recognition is made by the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs based on a recommendation from the department management.
    • It is possible to recognize the traineeship as optional with or without credit evaluation (without credit evaluation, the internship can be listed as an appendix to the diploma)
    • In all cases it must be specified in advance in the Learning Agreement, which the student fills out and signs before departure.

Recommended credits for voluntary traineeship:

  • 31–90 days – 10 credits
  • 91 days and longer – 15 credits

  • find, contact and secure the company where you would like to complete an traineeship and list them in the application
  • due to the complicated financing of mobilities outside the EU, we are only realistically able to send approximately 7-8 students per year – when selecting, we recommend that you list a maximum of one institution outside the EU, as there is a risk that such an internship may be denied for financial reasons.

  • after the internal round, the departments comment on the registered students and create a ranking (February-March) – this ranking is important when we are allocated funds and the budget is redistributed (June-July)
