BASIC CONDITIONS

  • The participant must be a full-time student - it is possible to travel within a staggered year or waiting period
    • It is not possible to travel within an interrupted study period.
    • Internships must end (and be administratively terminated) no later than the day before final exams.
  • Each participant is allowed a maximum of 12 months in each cycle of higher education (bachelor's, master's, doctoral).
    • A student can complete one long stay or several shorter ones (but it is necessary to comply with the minimum prescribed length of stay of 2 months).
    • It is important to remember that all study, practical and short-term internships in a given degree add up - this also applies to all previous studies in a given study cycle.

DETAILS OF MOBILITIES OUTSIDE THE EU

Study mobility – the administrative procedure is the same as in the case of study mobility within the EU with the difference of the Learning Agreement, which uses special Learning Agreement for international mobility

  • according to AMU requirements, a student must obtain at least 18 credits per semester during long-term study mobility at a foreign institution, regardless of whether they no longer need to fulfill any credits towards their study plan at FAMU, or whether they are already a candidate for final exams
  • non-European schools use different credit systems and the student must before departure, or signing the participation agreement, find an agreement on how the credits will be recalculated upon return – it implies cooperation with the international department, the study department / vice-dean for study affairs and the partner institution
  • given the high number of applicants for mobility outside the EU and limited places, we recommend choosing a maximum of one school outside the EU – see FAMU PARTNER SCHOOLS

Practical mobility – the administrative procedure is identical to that for mobility within the EU

  • students can have their credits recognized if their FAMU study plan includes a subject corresponding to the content of the practical traineeship
  • if the student's study plan does not include such a subject, the traineeship can be recognized as equivalent to another subject within the study plan – such recognition is decided by the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs based on a recommendation from the department management
  • furthermore, the traineeship can be recognized as voluntary with or without credit evaluation (without credit evaluation, the internship can be listed as a supplement to the diploma)
  • in any case, everything must be specified in advance in the Learning Agreement, which the student fills out and signs before departure.
