FAMU Films 1946-1970: Chapters from Aesthetics and Production History

The subject of this research is FAMU student films produced during 1946–1970. This topic has not yet been systematically studied; only partial lists exist. This is a basic research project based on primary archival research of film and documentary sources. The research is thus conducted primarily at the FAMU Studio Archive and the National Film Archive (largely involving collections that have not yet been cataloged), and secondarily at other archival institutions (the State Archives in Prague, the Slovak Film Institute, etc.). Interviews with eyewitnesses will serve as a supplementary source. The film prints themselves are the key source.
