ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Theory and History of Audiovision (“KTHA”) is an educational and research workplace of the Film and TV School of AMU. It covers, curates, and coordinates the instruction of Faculty-wide subjects in the field of history and theory of cinema and television. As an inter-departmental site, it assists with the instruction of methodology and in developing the educational practice of FAMU’s doctoral students. In addition, it pursues its own research activity in the fields of history and theory of audiovisual art. It closely cooperates with the Vice-Deans for Study Affairs and Science and Research as well as guarantors.
