HELENA TŘEŠTÍKOVÁ WAS AWARDED FOR OUTSTANDING LIFELONG WORK AT THE DOCSBARCELONA IDFF

Helena Třeštíková, a documentary filmmaker and teacher at the Department of Documentary Film at FAMU, was awarded for her outstanding lifelong work at the DocsBarcelona International Documentary Film Festival. The festival honors the most significant creators of world documentary cinema. "Her extraordinary career of more than fifty titles will be recognised with the Honorary DocsBarcelona Award 2023, an award that celebrates "a prodigious production strongly linked to her homeland, the Czech Republic. Today, her films are already a legacy and a first hand document of the last half-century of the country's history," said the organizers. Congratulations.
