From 24th to 27th November 2009, in Valenciennes,
during the e.magicians 2oo9,
the Chained Animation will be held.

The Chained Animation is the collective film of the e.magicians 2oo9.
It will be achieved by the student(s) (by team of 3 students at the most) enrolled in a European school, university or educational organisation specialised in animation or computer graphics. You will have to produce a 10-second computer graphic animation from a compulsory original picture, theme or proposal, given by the 2009 guest artist
At the end of the final, all sequences will be edited end-to-end to build a series of animations that will be screened during the closing party of the e.magicians 2oo9, on Friday 27th November 2009.

You will then receive the « creation package » (also available by downloading on the web site www.e-magiciens.net) including the instructions, the theme, the appendices (pictures, sound, concepts) that you will have to use to produce your animation.

... To sign in for the final of the Chained Animation:
Before 30th October 2009, you have to send a supporting letter, a synopsis, a storyboard, an animatics and a short graphic presentation of your 10-second animation project.
12 teams will be chosen and invited during 4 days to take part in the chained animation 2009. They will produce their project at the Phenix theatre in Valenciennes.
To help you, partners will provide with hardware (only PC) and software of animation and computer graphics. The guest artist will guide you in the production of this collective work, assisted by a coordinator.
