Dear friends,

The 7th edition of IndieLisboa - International Independent Film Festival will take place from 22nd April to 2nd May 2010, in Lisbon, Portugal. This festival aims to contribute to the discovery of new authors and new trends in contemporary independent cinema.

IndieLisboa has five main official sections, all composed of feature and short films: International Competition (for 1st and 2nd films), Emerging Cinema (this section highlights innovative works by emerging filmmakers), Observatory (some of the most important films of the year made by established authors), IndieJunior (children's film competition) and Independent Hero (dedicated to those who go beyond the mainstream in filmmaking and help to open new and unconventional paths in cinema. In past editions we payed tribute to Jia Zhang-ke, José Luis Guerín, Nobuhiro Suwa, Johnnie To, Jacques Nolot, Werner Herzog, among others).

We also have three parallel sections: Indiemusic (a program of films focusing in music), Director's Cut (a program with recently restored titles, rediscoveries or films which reflect upon cinema itself) and World Pulse (films dealing with the global or local issues that define the current state of things in our world).

We invite you to send us your latest productions (2009 and 2010, either short or feature films) for pre-selection to these official sections. After filling the online form, please send us a Copy/Receipt of the submission and a DVD copy of the film submitted to:
