INDIELISBOA 2010

7th International Independent Film Festival (22nd April to 2nd May 2010)

Dear friends,

The 7th edition of IndieLisboa - International Independent Film Festival will take place from 22nd April to 2nd May 2010, in Lisbon, Portugal. This festival aims to contribute to the discovery of new authors and new trends in contemporary independent cinema.

IndieLisboa has five main official sections, all composed of feature and short films: International Competition (for 1st and 2nd films), Emerging Cinema (this section highlights innovative works by emerging filmmakers), Observatory (some of the most important films of the year made by established authors), IndieJunior (children's film competition) and Independent Hero (dedicated to those who go beyond the mainstream in filmmaking and help to open new and unconventional paths in cinema. In past editions we payed tribute to Jia Zhang-ke, JosΘ Luis Guerφn, Nobuhiro Suwa, Johnnie To, Jacques Nolot, Werner Herzog, among others.

We also have three parallel sections: Indiemusic (a program of films focusing in music), Director's Cut (a program with recently restored titles, rediscoveries or films which reflect upon cinema itself) and World Pulse (films dealing with the global or local issues that define the current state of things in our world).

We invite you to send us your latest productions (2009 and 2010, either short or feature films) for

pre-selection to these official sections. After filling the online form, please send us a Copy/Receipt of the submission and a DVD copy of the film submitted to:

A 7¬ ediτπo do IndieLisboa - Festival Internacional de Cinema Independente terß lugar de 22 de Abril a 2 de Maio de 2010. O Festival pretende continuar a contribuir para a descoberta de novos autores e de novas tendΩncias do cinema independente contemporΓneo. Ao mesmo tempo, trarß a Portugal nπo s≤ um elevado nmero de realizadores, mas tambΘm um conjunto de produtores, programadores de cinema, crφticos, distribuidores e sales agents internacionais que aproveitarπo para ver uma selecτπo da mais recente produτπo nacional.

O IndieLisboa tem cinco secτ⌡es oficiais, compostas por curtas e longas metragens:

Competiτπo Internacional (para primeiras e segundas obras), Cinema Emergente (espaτo para novas linguagens do cinema contemporΓneo, experiΩncias narrativas originais e talentos emergentes), Observat≤rio (panorama sobre as obras essenciais do cinema independente contemporΓneo do ltimo ano, apresentando filmes de cineastas mais consagrados), IndieJnior (competiτπo internacional de filmes infanto-juvenis) e Her≤i Independente (onde sπo apresentadas retrospectivas da obra de figuras relevantes do cinema independente contemporΓneo).

Existem ainda trΩs secτ⌡es paralelas: Indiemusic (um programa composto por filmes, na sua maioria documentßrios, sobre msica), Director's Cut (um programa com tφtulos recentemente restaurados, redescobertas e filmes que reflictam sobre o cinema) e Pulsar do Mundo (um programa composto por filmes que lidam com quest⌡es relevantes da actualidade mundial). Os filmes apresentados nestas secτ⌡es sπo tambΘm seleccionados a partir das obras inscritas no festival.
