Dear Friends,

The Locarno International Film Festival’s short film section is opening the submissions for the

Leopards of Tomorrow International Competition, dedicated to fiction films from young directors

who have not yet made feature films.

Short and medium-length films (on

35mm, 16mm, “high definition” or “standard definition” video, to40 minutes) are eligible; priority will be given to films that have not yetw w w.pardo.c h ) , a short synopsis and a biofilmography

The deadline for submission will be the 1

st of June 2009.

As every year we would be really interested in receiving the new films of your students.

We would be grateful if you could let us know if this year you will have any films for us and, in case,

how many and when you expect you could send them to us.

We remind you that we would be pleased to receive your films even if they are not completely done

(for example without color grading, definitive sound editing…).

As very often graduation films are ready at the very last moment, we would like to let you know that

we could also accept late submissions, up to a couple of weeks after our deadline. Please feel free to

let us know if it will be the case and we will be glad to wait for your newest films to arrive.

stay at your disposal for any further information.
