Call for entries – Schlingel 2009
Das 14. Internationale Filmfestival für Kinder und junges Publikum findet vom 5.-11. Oktober 2009 in Chemnitz statt. Veranstalter ist der Sächsische Kinder- und Jugendfilmdienst e.V. Chemnitz. Das Festival versteht sich als Podium des internationalen Kinder- und Jugendfilms in Deutschland. Jedes Jahr im Oktober gibt Schlingel einen Überblick über die neuesten Produktionen aus aller Welt.
The 14th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience “Schlingel” will take place from 5th to 11th October 2009 in Chemnitz/Saxony. The organiser is the association “Saechsischer Kinder- und Jugendfilmdienst e.V.” (Saxon Service for Children’s and Youth Films). Schlingel is a stage for international children’s and youth films in Germany. Every year in October the festival shows an overview of current international productions from all over the world.

Produzenten, Regisseure und Filmverleiher sind hiermit aufgerufen, ihre Vorschläge für die Wettbewerbe in folgenden Kategorien einzureichen:
Producers, directors and film distributors are invited to send their suggestions for the competitions in the following categories:
Ø S Kinderfilmwettbewerb (bis 10 Jahre)
Children’s Film Competition (until 10 years)
Ø M Juniorfilmwettbewerb (11 bis 13 Jahre)
Junior Film Competition (11-13 years)
Ø L Jugendfilmwettbewerb (ab 14 Jahre)
Youth Film Competition (14 years and more)
Ø XS Kurz- und Animationsfilmwettbewerb (bis 13 Jahre)
Short and Animation Film Competition (until 13 years)
Ø D Blickpunkt Deutschland

Das Festival-Team freut sich auf viele neue und spannende Filmvorschläge von seinen langjährigen, aber auch von neuen Kooperationspartnern. Aus den Vorschlägen wählt unsere Programmkommission die Wettbewerbsfilme aus. Die Fach- und Kinderjurys haben dann im Oktober zur Festivalwoche die Qual der Wahl und werden die Sieger in den Kategorien bestimmen. Es werden Preise im Gesamtwert von 25.000 Euro vergeben.
The festival team looks forward to your new and exciting films. The films for the festival competition programme will be selected by a special committee - nominated by the festival organiser. During the festival a panel of experts appoints the winner in every single competition. The prizes have a total value of 25,000 Euros.
