CALL FOR ENTRIES 2009

We are glad to announce the entries call for the international competition of the 13th International Short Film Festival Winterthur and would like to invite you to participate. With over 12 000 visitors Winterthur is the most important short film festival in Switzerland and with 3 000 film entries each year a significant platform for international short films. The competition is open to films of all genres produced within the last two years and which are no longer than 25 minutes. An international jury awards the following cash prizes:

Main prize worth CHF 12 000 (ca. Euro 7 800) for the best film in the international competition.

Promotion Award CHF 10 000 (ca. Euro 6 500) for the best achievement in directing.

Special Award CHF 8 000 (ca. Euro 5 200) for the best Swiss short film.

The Audience Award CHF 8 000 (ca. Euro 5 200) is selected by the audience.

Please submit your film as early as possible!

There are two ways to submit your film:

Either you send us the preview DVD by mail and fill in an online entry form on www.kurzfilmtage.ch (http://www.kurzfilmtage.ch) where you also find the rules and regulations and further information about the Kurzfilmtage. The application deadline is 31 July 2009 (postmark) and there is no entry fee.
