6010 offers a platform for all types of non-commercial movies of a maximum length of one minute and Short Documentary Films of a maximum length of ten minutes.
Short documentaries need not conform with formal approaches to documentary filmmaking. Experiments are welcome. This is the first festival of its kind to take place in Germany.
All entries are free there is noc submission charge. A panel will judge the submitted films and select One Minute and Short Documentary Films for the two-day screening in May.
Filmmakers are invited to join in with the screenings and to present their work. There is a youth hostel and a very reasonably priced hotel where people can stay.
Adjudicators are:
Christiane Büchner, documentary filmmaker from Cologne, who ha been a member of the programm commission in Oberhausen at 'Internationale Kurzfilmtage' since 2001.
Judith Samen, professor of photography and video at the University in Siegen. She regularly takes part in exhibitions.
Karsten Wiesel, filmmaker from Hamburg, founder of the ‘Flensburger Kurzfilmtage’, an annual short film festival, with the section ‘Tricky’ for animated films.
Barbara Christin, professor of Video Production at the University of Applied Sciences at Kaiserslautern. Her research work focuses upon documentary films on the World Wide Web.
