“Cinema and Digital Media”
Applications and all other requisites for the admission procedure (in English) must be submitted in two identical copies on or before May 25, 2012 to the following address:

The admissions interviews will take place during April/May 2012 and will be held remotely using the Skype software. We will inform applicants about the technical details of the connection in a timely manner. However, it is certain now that for a successful data transmission an Internet connection with a minimal transmission rate of 8 MBPS will be necessary.
Cinema and Digital Media is a three-year Master’s follow-up program focusing on Screenwriting, Directing and/or Cinematography, and open to anyone who has completed a Bachelor’s degree in any subject. The instruction is in English and the applicants must demonstrate their knowledge of English at the B2 level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF) during the admission procedure. The application includes The Europass Language Passport, which can be completed here.
The application involves the following requisites:
1. Application form with passport photo. Please download the application, fill it in using computer and send 2 hardcopies with your photo.
2. CV of the applicant with description of the applicant’s academic and artistic records.
3. Two letters of recommendation from current or previous tutors outlining the applicant’s expectations and motivation for the studies and your success.
4. Master Degree project providing answers to the following basic questions:
- Why would you like to study in the Czech Republic?
- Why did you decide to apply for CDM?
- Which of concentrations of study reflects your previous artistic production experience?
- Which concentration do you wish to develop your creativity in? Directing, Screenwriting, or Cinematography?
- What work would you like to graduate with? (e. g. script, feature film, documentary…)
5. Artistic samples – based on the specialization you are applying for:
- directing:
Short feature or documentary (up to 10 minutes of duration)
Storyboard telling a narrative about an "encounter" (exactly 16 photographs or pictures, without text)
Two half-page synopsis for short fiction films
Audiovisual self-portrait (two minutes maximum)

- cinematography:
Short fiction film or documentary (up to 10 minutes of duration)

- screenwriting:
Screenplay for a short fiction film or 10 pages from a screenplay
A treatment for a full-length feature film

All audiovisual works shall be submitted in DVD format (with no region restrictions) and subtitled in English, unless spoken in English.

7. Copy of your Bachelor Degree diploma. If your Bachelor diploma is in English, there is no need to translate it – a notarial certificate of it will suffice. If your diploma is in another language, we require its translation into English with a notarial certificate, and please also include a simple photocopy of the original diploma.

Applications will be accepted for the admission procedure subject to the compliance with all of the aforementioned requisites. We kindly request all applicants to please ensure that all documents are submitted in duplicate, that non-English speaking films include English subtitles, and that they are submitted in right format.

The tuition fee for the academic year, 2011/2012 is EUR 16,800
(The fee must be exactly EUR 16,800, irregardless of other banking or transfer fees.)
If the tuition fee is not paid all at once, the first installment of EUR 8,800 needs to be paid before or on 1 August 2011. The full amount must be paid before or on 28 February 2012. The tuition fee for each subsequent year shall be determined before or on 30 July. (The tuition fee is covered by Macedonian grant!)
